We are pleased to offer an annual championship mathematical competition that will be in two parts each autumn and spring. The two examinations will take place on dates in mid-November and early February. The initial November (autumn) examination will consist of 15 problems increasing in difficulty from beginning to conclusion. The first 10 problems will consist of five-option multiple choice answers. Problems 11 through 15 will each have an integer answer between 1 and 999. The February (spring) exam will have 12 problems with integer answers also between 1 and 999. However a 13th problem will be added that is writing-based in which competitors will answer as an essay that will be used to break potential ties.
Approximately 30% of students who score the highest for the autumn exam will qualify for the spring exam. The top five competitors in the spring exam will earn honors and trophies.
